Enterprise Security Architecture

How Vysync protects client data, cloud workloads, and enterprise platforms with defense-in-depth engineering and strict role-based access.

AES-256 & TLS 1.3

End-to-end transport encryption over TLS 1.3 and managed AES-256 cloud storage encryption for databases and object vaults at rest.

Role-Based Access (RBAC)

Strict principle of least privilege, bcrypt password hashing, signed JSON Web Tokens (JWT), and scoped Remote MCP permissions.

Enterprise Cloud Hosting

Workloads hosted in high-reliability AWS and GCP cloud facilities inheriting physical perimeter and infrastructure security.

Presigned S3 Storage

Sensitive candidate resumes and employee documents served strictly via time-limited presigned URLs with short expiration windows.

1. Security Philosophy & Architectural Tenets

At Vysync, security is treated as an architectural fundamental across every software platform, client web application, and API integration we design. We operate under practical defense-in-depth engineering principles: enforce least privilege, validate all inputs, segregate tenant contexts, and minimize sensitive data exposure.

Our engineering lifecycle spans architectural threat modeling, peer code review, continuous dependency vulnerability monitoring, and controlled production releases.

2. Cryptographic Standards & Data Protection

We implement robust, industry-standard cryptographic controls across all client and tenant workloads:

  • Data in Transit: All public web endpoints, microservices, and database connections strictly enforce HTTPS with modern TLS 1.3 cryptographic suites. Deprecated protocols (SSL v3, TLS 1.0, TLS 1.1) and insecure ciphers are disabled globally.
  • Data at Rest: Persistent relational database volumes (MySQL) and AWS S3 object storage buckets utilize managed AES-256 encryption handled by cloud Key Management Services (KMS).
  • Credential Protection: User and employee passwords are encrypted using one-way bcrypt cryptographic hashing with unique salt factors. Raw passwords are never logged, exposed, or retrievable in plaintext.
  • Secure Presigned Object Access: In Vysync HRMS, candidate resumes, ID cards, and reimbursement receipts stored in AWS S3 are never exposed via public bucket URLs. They are accessible solely through short-lived presigned URLs generated on-demand for authenticated users.

3. Identity, Access Management & RBAC

Access to platform features and client infrastructure is governed under role-segregated boundaries:

  • Role-Based Access Control (RBAC): Vysync HRMS enforces distinct, verified user roles: Super Admin, Company Admin, HR Manager, Recruiter, Reporting Manager, and Employee, ensuring workforce telemetry is exposed only to authorized personnel.
  • Session Security: Application authentication leverages cryptographically signed JSON Web Tokens (JWT) with defined expiration lifetimes. Tokens are transmitted via secure HTTP headers.
  • Remote MCP Tool Sandboxing: External AI agents and tools connecting via the Remote Model Context Protocol (MCP) server require explicit OAuth 2.0 bearer tokens and are restricted to predefined tool scopes (such as 'employees.read' or 'candidates.read'). Sensitive fields are excluded unless explicitly authorized.

4. Cloud Infrastructure & Environmental Isolation

Production environments are deployed within tier-1 global cloud data centers (AWS, GCP):

  • Cloud Security Inheritance: Physical perimeter security, power redundancy, and data center hardware controls are managed by major cloud infrastructure providers (AWS and Google Cloud Platform).
  • Environment Secret Management: Database credentials, third-party API keys, and JWT signing secrets are injected securely via runtime environment variables and are never committed to Git source repositories.
  • Multi-Tenant Isolation: Software platforms maintain tenant segregation through scoped database queries keyed to company identifiers, ensuring data from one client organization is never accessible by another.

5. Secure Development Lifecycle & Code Quality

We integrate code quality and vulnerability mitigation directly into our engineering workflows:

  • Peer Code Reviews: All production code modifications undergo mandatory peer review by senior engineers prior to merging into release branches.
  • Dependency Audits: Regular automated dependency scanning identifies Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVEs) across third-party npm and Python package ecosystems.
  • Safe File Ingestion: Document parsers (pdfplumber, python-docx) run with strict file extension validation, MIME type checks, and file size limits to mitigate malicious payload injection.

6. Backup Strategy & Operational Continuity

To safeguard business continuity, our cloud architectures incorporate regular operational recovery measures:

  • Automated Backups: Managed cloud databases execute automated point-in-time snapshots and daily backups with secure retention schedules.
  • Stateless Application Nodes: Web and API application tiers are deployed as stateless containerized workloads, enabling rapid horizontal recovery and zero-downtime redeployments.

7. Vulnerability Disclosure & Responsible Reporting

Vysync values the contributions of independent cybersecurity researchers. If you identify a potential security vulnerability in any Vysync domain or service, we encourage responsible disclosure.

Please report vulnerability details directly to our security and engineering team at sales@vysync.com. We acknowledge valid reports within two (2) business days and work diligently to validate and remediate confirmed issues without initiating legal action against ethical white-hat disclosures.
